Understanding the importance of Emotional Intelligence in the Board Room.

For most people, emotional intelligence (EQ) is more important than one’s intelligence (IQ) in attaining success in their lives and careers. As individuals our success and the success of a Board career today depend on our ability to read other people’s signals and react appropriately to them.

Therefore, all of us need emotional intelligence skills to better understand, negotiate, and empathise with other people in the Board room.

During this module there will be the opportunity to learn about yourself through a self assessment, and we’ll cover topics such as awareness of self and others, and how EQ affects Board dynamics.

We’ll also look at Leadership skills that help us to support change.
